audioThe specifications for this installation were very simple: maintain the aesthetics of the car, leave the box functionality, change the least possible and keep the original source. On cars like the Audi Q5 is more difficult to remove the original sources. They are integrated and often linked to the onboard computer or other features of the car. In this case, it is well kept, and that does not install a power amplifier, contrary to what many think!
To connect the original source to a power amplifier, Hi-fi mobile retrieved the audio signal output from the amp’s original car. OEM rEQ5 interface (developed by MTX), will retrieve this signal and transmit it to the aftermarket amplifier. This interface allows managing a facility to 5 channels and corrects the sound signal source, to provide a quality signal to the amp. In this category of products is one of the best interfaces on the market. REQ5 interface is housed in the side of the chest near the sub-woofer.

To replace the front speakers, Hi-fi mobile chose a kit 3 way Focal 165 KRX3. This kit consists of a pair of tweeters, a pair of mediums by 10 cm and a pair of woofers of 16.5 cm, all with passive crossovers course. The installer can then cast this mount on the dashboard or in amounts of windscreens to integrate HP. There are of course the works of editing, but this system greatly facilitates Focal things. In this case, Hi-fi mobile home removed the tweeters which are located in the dashboard. Once the media picked Julio has molded fiber and resin on the plate on the support of Focal origin of the Audi.

Thus, the new tweeter / mid-range amounts without changing the dash kit and the car can be delivered easily in original condition for resale. Once the new medium sanded, Julio was covered with a gray calfskin original color. It has also been one of the hardest things: finding the right leather to stay in the tone of the dashboard. For design, flange plate of a wood veneer HP receives identical to the original. A black grille cloth is then coating both HP (medium, high). Of course, this is a small addition on the dash kit but it does not interfere in any way visibility, and the editing is so well done that it went very smoothly for the original system. The crossover of 165 KRX3 is quite large, they were housed in the sides of the trunk. Turning now the woofers and enjoy high quality sound.
