It benefits from technology Optimus Nvidia that makes the laptop by default on the part of Intel GMA 3000 HD integrated processor for low power consumption and promote good self. However, Optimus switches automatically and in real time on the Geforce GT 520M 3D performance when needed than is necessary, if a game is launched, for example. In this area, however, no miracle and only undemanding titles can pass correctly.

The Core i3-2310M Sandy Bridge and 4 GB of RAM in turn provide benefits very correct in everyday multitasking too pushed. And if the user needs to be a little more comfortable, it can for example add a second strip 4 GB DDR3.

For the rest, there are fairly standard specifications with storage of 500 GB, bright screen 16:9 1366 × 768 and includes the essential connection with 3 USB 2.0, VGA, Ethernet, audio ports, Wi-Fi and n HDMI, but no USB 3.0 in the program.

More Super Bright slab of 11.6-inch 16:9 format has a brightness of 400nits. Touch, it is a capacitive multi-touch model that works with your fingers or the stylus and offers a definition of 1366 × 768 and the viewing angles of 170 degrees minimum. In addition, because the screen is resistant glass with a Gorilla. It’s actually in this “screen” or rather shelf that fits the configuration which will be discussed a little further.

The third element is the cradle on which to position the screen. It offers USB 2.0, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet and a power port. But beware, this dock is optional as is the keyboard and therefore need to be vigilant about their presence in the purchase.

Very thin, the Samsung Series 7 PC Slate also comes in another version in the hexagon, which differs by a processor Sandy Bridge i5-2467M 1.6 GHz and a 64 GB SSD Here, the external Bluetooth keyboard Chiclet provided along the dock.

The Samsung Series 7 Slate PC can operate as a single tablet with the performance of an ultraportable or as a PC or laptop if it is coupled to the keyboard and docking station. Moreover, Samsung tells us that it can be synchronized with an external monitor to be more comfortable.

The battery gives it 80% of its capacity for at least 1500 cycles of charging and discharging.

We thus find the Samsung 7 Series Slate a Tablet PC powerful enough to rival some ultraportables classic and could overshadow the Ultra books.

Verdict of testers in the following section,
To begin, recall the features of the Samsung NC10:
10 inch Screen
Intel Atom 1.6GHz
1 GB of Ram
6-cell battery (7 hours of autonomy announced)
Windows XP
3 USB 2.0
VGA port and Ethernet port
Microphone and headphone jack
1 memory card 3 in 1
Bluetooth 2.0
Express Card Interface
Webcam 1.3 million pixels
Resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels
Hard Drive 120 GB
WiFi 802.11b / g
In terms of design, NC10 appears more professional than other 10-inch netbooks like the MSI Wind or the Asus eeepc 1000H. It is true that the closer the NC10 is really attractive both aesthetic and technical level.

At the technical level, the system (Windows XP) and the machine work very well. You’ll have no problem to watch movies or to use IP telephony.

Note also the inclusion of the Samsung Recovery Solution III, enabling the System Restore and that is very practical and easy to use.

Moreover, autonomy, over 7 hours, is very high for a netbook. Samsung is the first manufacturer who actually understood that the autonomy was essential to use a netbook.

We will therefore that the primary qualities of this ultra portable is its long battery life (7:34 with wifi on and brightness at 50%), its large keypad, good overall system performance, space worth its hard drive, fast ( start in 45 seconds) and price (less than 400 euros in France).
